I kinda do the same thing in the foam cannon. I use Mr Pink and also add in a 1/2 oz of Wolfgang's Waterless wash concentrate. It's not a wax but it does add a little gloss. I also always rinse with RO/DI water as I do not like drying.. :)

So I bought a 16oz bottle of the Opti wax in spray bottle, Then decided to try the Chem Guys Mr. Pink 16oz bottle just because this is like $260 spent on products the last couple weeks. I want to try that Meguire's #62 though...Then I decided on a bottle of Adam's Tire gel after reading a bit. I abhor/hate the sling from the cheap stuff but I do like shine and Adams reviews seemed to have that going on. And of course some Colonite :)

The longer you let the tire stuff dry the less chance you have of any "sling".

Yea I know that, but the cheap stuff for me still slings even after two days of sitting. I lay it on thick though...

I agree with you about the sling. You do all that work to get he paint looking great and then drive around the block and come back and that **** is all over the side of the truck---**** me off. I finally started to use 303 and it seems to do a good job and doesn't sling but it isn't really shiney. I've also used Mag #40 which works pretty well but you have to let it dry and it doesn't seem to last as long as 303.

That why I went ahead and spent $20 on a bottle of tire dressing lol! What the hell am I doing!!! All reviews I read IMO Adams had the best so I figured why not give it a try :)

Well this is a lot of work and hopefully I will end up being done Wed or Thursday eve. Last night I got the Carnauba wax layer on the whole truck, looks good, not quite as slick feeling as I thought but she is overall still slick.

Still need to final clean the rims and apply sealant to them, tire dressing, front and rear chrome bumpers need a final cleaning then sealant. The painted lip on my front bumper still needs 1st stage compound then polish before sealant. My buddy got pretty tired Sat and I told him I will finish that. Also need to apply treatment to black plastic trim...

Josh, I am pretty sure you mentioned something about wheel well cleaning/detailing? Seems under there is the last nasty looking part on my truck!

AS well as question above about wheel well cleaning...

What is RO/DI?

Use a good apc to clean wheel wells then coat them with Hydro2. I like it as most road dirt and grime does not stick to it. Also it is a spray on hose off product.

RO = Reverse Osmosis
DI = Deionized

Basically it is water and that's it. No chlorine/chloramine or dissolved solids. When you rinse well with it you do not have to dry as it will leave no spots.

So do you have a filter you connect to your hose? Or is it a home system or perhaps a separate tank/spout you have designated?

Pretty sure my water is a ***** for hard water spots. I read somewehre, RAMblin17 I think it was, that found some kind of filter you install on the threads of the hose and it has a spray gun attached in the setup.

I will look into Hydro2, I was wondering if some black treatment would help but I think most products will just attract dirt.

When I bought the truck used form dealership I am 97% sure they did not put new liners in mine. Nonetheless they had them looking totally brand new.

It is a system I have with a separate tank and pump. They do have systems that you can hook to a hose like CRSpotless. However I prefer my setup.

Well I am seriously still not done detailing this thing lol. I decided to clay bar my black powder coated rims figuring I will never clean them this good ever again. I dont want to seal over water spots and dirt that seems to "weld" itself to the rims. I have done two and it took me like 1.5hrs to clean them really good then clay them. So many angles on my rims its ridiculous...But I can say 100% there are spots where dirt was not coming off with cleaning but did with clay so I consider it a victory.

I also used treatment on all the black trim last night getting it to soak in. So I just need to clay two more wheels, seal all of them, use 2nd stage compound and polish on front bumper red painted area then clean and put slant on the bumpers. Then I am done.

Here is a pic I took for new black quads but the first thing I noticed was the shine of the paint :) You can also see the rim is really clean!

I give you props for going that extra mile. You will love it once your rims are coated. Brake dust and dirt will just fly right off with a pressure washer no scrubbing required.

^Thanks, yea thats the way I looked at it, super job once then they are good to go.

Quick question for Ya'll...I have some custom HEMI emblems being made and plan to install where the stock ones were. Do I need to strip away all the "layers" of protection to install? Or is the 3M tape okay to mount "over" ?

Wax I would remove for sure. You might be ok going over a sealant.
