Power tailgate

I have a 2020 Ram 1500 tradesman crew cab 4x4 classic. I have power locks and locking tailgate. And backup camera. How do I make it power lock tailgate? What should I be looking for when I take the tailgate cover off?

Stand by the tailgate while using the fob to lock and unlock the vehicle. You will be able to hear the actuator if it has a locking tailgate. Pretty sure it should.

I can hear my 2020 lock and unlock while standing next to the tailgate.

Do you have the power lock button on your fob for the tailgate, hit that button and it should release and drop the tailgate, do you hear it lock and unlock when you hit the lock button on the fob.

Check the plug is seated all the way at the back of the bed under the tailgate. The tailgate locks/unlocks with the vehicle doors. There is only two wires to the lock actuator, you'll see the voltage change polarity when it goes to lock/unlock.

The remote release tailgate is on the Gen5 DT body trucks, the OP has a Classic which is a DS body.
