Hello all as of two weeks ago I now own my first RAM Hemi SLT and I love it, but the more power bug is biting, I have a 2010 SLT 5.7 with 38,000 miles on it in excellent condition my pride and joy, I'm looking for a power tuner that is of good quality and can be if need be removed and all settings reverted back to stock due to warranty also checking into CAI mod I'm nervous about damaging something with these mods my goal is at least 430HP if possible, is this attainable or should I go a different route? I'm not sure which tuner to purchase any help would be greatly appreciated...thank you

You are going to need alot more than a tuner and cai to reach that hp goal

Oh ok going by what the manufacturers state by these mods they made it sound easy to gain at least 40 more horsepower but that's why I joined here who better to ask but Ram owners..I really appreciate the info whiteram

Maybe I should do more research...or just leave it alone and be happy with my HEMI the way it is

Congrats on the purchase of your Ram! I bought a preowned '10 SLT also. I use the Superchips Flashpaq. I originally bought it for my Wrangler JK. I didn't see the need to purchase a new tuner since I called Superchips and learned that it was compatible with the Ram. I like it because as you said you can return the truck to stock in the event you need to bring it into the dealer. But what I really like is the MDS disable feature. I use the 87 octane tune but I still fill her up with 89 because that's what the engine requires. If you love your HEMI, DO NOT PUT 87 OCTANE IN YOUR TANK! I cannot emphasize that enough.

As far as the CAI is concerned, I have a Vararam Air Grabber. I love it! Not only does it look badass but I feel like I have a much crisper throttle response and more low-end torque.

I think 1882 is referring to "rear wheel" horsepower. The 4th gen HEMI has 390 HP at the crank. You lose quite a bit of HP through the drivetrain before it reaches the pavement.

I'm not sure how the tuning is on rams but I had a 2007 single cab Chevy, the best mods I did that were very noticeable were a cam and converter

These trucks are rated at 390hp, but only put down about 290hp to the rear wheels. The tuner and intake will net you roughly 30-40hp depending on which setup you go with. I would go with the Vararam Air Grabber intake and a Diablo tuner with the optional Hemifever custom tuning. This is going to show the best power gains and is going to be very noticeable. You can go with either the InTune which is $439 with Hemifever tuning or the Trinity which is $599 and includes FREE Hemifever tuning.
