this is new! I think there's going to be a lot of cross talk with the gen 1 sub forum since the trucks are mechanically nearly identical.

Maybe we'll start getting pre 71 trucks on the forum. Wouldn't mind seeing a few pics of the old power wagons...

Any discussions on pre-1980 year trucks should be posted in this 1980 - Older section.

Staff discussed it and decided to add the section. I used to have one!

i would say considering how similar the 72-80 trucks are to the 81-93 it really seems a bit silly to create create another section for stuff i personally also consider 1st gen. now if you wanted to create a section for 71 or older it might make sense kind of but i don't see if being too busy. there is a huge amount of changes from the 71 and older truck but 72-93 are similar enough which is why the Haynes or chilton groups them all together.

Great looking trucks everyone! Not a pre 80, but my dads 87 Ram Charger is slowly getting back to running. He threw a battery on it and all of the electronics work, and it did crank and sounded strong.

Here is pictures of my 1975 D100 SE Adventure, 318 Auto. My dad ordered this one, picked it up Jan. of 75, I love the sunstone color, Easy to find in the parking lot. If anyone has replaced the rug I would love to hear from you as the one I ordered fit really bad. I also need to order door seals. I still enjoy driving it. When I get pictures of my 1956 and 1940 Dodge pickups that are stored on the farm I'll post them.
