pre-purchase question

I am looking at a 06 megacab. It has the hemi and 4x4. Has 89k miles. This will be my first used dodge ram. Wonderjng if there are any specifics i should look at. They are asking right at retail value for it. Has leather interior sunroof etc. I will have a better idea tomorrow but was just looking for opinions of those that actually drive these trucks (Im converting from a tundra).

My uncle has an Megacab 1500 that I driven pretty often...not a bad truck if you need the room. However, the only way I would spring for a megacab is if it had a Cummins in it...The Hemi pushes my uncles fine, but the fuel mileage really suffers on those trucks...my uncle averages about 12MPG. (Keep in mind the 1500 Megacab is built on a 2500 chassis)

Just your normal stuff to check, fluids, condition. Ask the owner its service intervals and last check up. At 89k its close to being due for a plug change and fluids.

Thanks both of you. I thought about looking for a cummins, but my daily commute is 4 miles total to and from work. But, I do some serious driving at times, towing a bass boat from new york to arkansas, so the mega cab would be amazing for those trips. I will chime in later to let you guys know how it turns out.
