Premium Gauge Cluster

If i buy a premium gauge cluster on ebay. Do i need to wait until the milage they have? Or do i just put it in at home and they will just flash it? Im guessing milage is stored on computer?

Type in Gauge cluster in the search box. Tons of threads on it and it has to be programed ! Sorry not much help but a start ! Hopefully the techies chime in

I'm not sure if anyone has used alphaobd to program mileage on a 5th gen yet. I'm not exactly sure if any mileage correction company has yet, that I've seen. You could try infotainment and see if they have the ability. Otherwise yes you'd have to wait until the mileage matches

If you have a 2013 like your signature says then you posted in the wrong gen, as your truck is a 4th gen not a 5th gen.... use the search there are tons of threads on this subject already.

From what I've heard, dealer's can't program clusters, for fraud reasons, they get sent out to a 3rd party even if it's a warranty claim. Granted if a dealer really wanted to change mileage on vehicle's they'd only be out ~$100 per vehicle to lower mileage. The older the vehicle the easier it is to change mileage. 13+ requires a pcm and the cheapest I software found (prior to alphaobd) was $700 to change mileage. So you're at over $1000 right there. I'm not sure what is required for early 4th gens or 3rd gens.
