My headers are on the way- what do i need to be ready? Where do i get the grade 8 locking bolts? and gaskets, i just want OEM mopar gaskets, right? i MIGHT order a magnaflow y-pipe, but i will probably just have a shop fab one since i am having them connect the headers to the rest of the exhaust anyway...
i wanna make sure i have everything so i'm ready to go...

Get the oem gaskets from henson's. Order a set of stage8's for the bolts. I always like to spray copper coat on both sides of the gasket.

You should be abvle to get the gaskets from the dealership parts counter for $20. Stage 8's can be ordered from summitracing I believe and they ship fast. I ordered mine from moes back before they went to ****.

if you wanna go with the grade 8 thats cool, but in case you didnt know, its not necessary. a lot of guys do it for security and peace of mind, but its certainly not required. i used regular ones and have never had any of them come loose.

I chose not to use Stage 8's with my header install and blew the gaskets because of bolts constantly working loose. Considering the amount of work involved changing out blown gaskets I think Stage 8's are worth the piece of mind. I run them now after changing out to Mopar Gaskets (a must) and about 8 hours of a painful swapout, just my 2 cents.

Same here. Used the bolts that came with the headers and never had a problem. Just checked them about two weeks ago and there was not a single loose bolt.

Seriously, save yourself a huge headache a year down the road and do it right the first time with Mopar OEM gaskets.

Spend the $20-$30 for the OEM mopar gaskets, save you time money and a massive headache after the pacesetters blow out and you gotta take everything apart and do it all over again.
