Bought a SuperChips F5 tuner and had a problem right off. Under light throttle and stock tune the trans shifts at around 2000 to 2500 RPM across the board. After tuning 1-2 and 3-4 shifts happen at that same RPM, 2-3 is 3000 to 3500. Also it won't shift out of second until about 30 MPH even around town. Went back to stock and no problem.
After 2 emails and a VM, I finally got a hold of support and was told it's a problem with my transmission. The tuner is not the problem it's just making my transmission problem more obvious.
There are no mods and the trans was rebuilt about 50k ago and never any issues with differing shift points.
Last 2 tuners I had were Diablosport. Both had minor issues (well one was more major) but tech support had me datalog and actually modified the tune to resolve the issue.
Did I just get a lazy tech or have you run into similar?
Bottom line I guess I have to go with a different brand.
