Go ahead and put in the camshaft, it won't hurt anything but you will need to get a custom tune in order to run it properly; you should already have a Diablo programmer as part of the Procharger kit and this can be used for a custom tune. You will have to pay attention to your vacuum depending on the camshaft you get, if you have low vacuum you can have trouble using the brakes since they are vacuum boosted brakes. I had to change my vacuum booster to a hydraulic booster from a diesel because I was not getting enough braking with my Procharger and camshaft.

thank you very much, I will keep it in mind, I plan to program with hp tunner. How much improvement did you get with the camshaft? it was worth it?

There are a lot of variables to how much hp you gain. The important ones are if you put in a camshaft that has a phase limiter or not, you will gain more with a cam that doesn’t have a limited but only Jay Greene’s cams can run like that as far as I know. If you have ported heads and are running stronger valve springs will also be a big difference.

I installed my cam when I put a new engine in mine with the first procharger so I can’t say how much my cam gave me.

There are so many varibles envolved that I would say you should talk to a tuner that can help you select parts that compliment on another. Jay would beable to help you.
