the reason i dont use the long headers is that i have to replace most of the exhaust, and i dont want to spend much money on this. it is already been painful lol, it wasnt on my wish list. my son in law was driving the truck and i think he over rev it or downshifted to the point of valve contact. im a bmw/vw tech and those are they only cars i have tuned, natural aspirated car are to expensive to have any gains. i already send a message to HP tuners, waiting on their answer, do you have it installed? how is the experience?. you have the diesel? maybe it is better for that engine.
I understand the money savings, but you’re highly likely to have to spend more down the road on another set of shorties when they crack. If you’re dead set against long tubes, I’d at the very least go with the BD diesel manifolds. But, maybe find some middle ground with some TSP long tubes.
I don’t have a diesel, I currently have a 26’ with the high output Hurricane, but my last truck was a 4th gen with the 5.7, Stainless Works long tubes, 6.4 intake, etc that was tuned (HP Tuners) by Flyin Ryan Performance.
What questions are you hoping to get answered by HPT?

Tell me you've never used a set with-out telling me you've never used a set :Big Laugh:

:anitoof: :hat: :peace:

I'll take your word for it since I would never run OEM part willingly. ;) I was actually referencing my OEM ones I pulled out when compared to the beehives.

well basically how it works, how the tune is done. and they basically said that they dont do tunes, they sells the tools for it, it is still have to be done by people that understands all that stuff. still not sure what the difference is other than price but on my experience just the custom tunes are different of what the tunners actually have. im not making propaganda but the diablo tuner i3 is just a tool to download the file and install it on the ecu, they even gives you instruction to recalibrate the tune if is not good.

Unless you want to buy Diablo's very expensive CMR program, you can't really do any tweaking yourself with a Diablo tuner.Spring for HP instead, you can do all kinds of tweaking with it. None of the high end tuners use Diablo anymore,as it's still stuck in 2015 :Big Laugh:

If those are Comps springs, change them when you hit 50,000 miles,as they have a really ****** rep with the hi-po shops, they're famous for breaking when they get to about 50,000 miles

This is what you'll need. Lucky for you, your PCM doesn't need to be unlocked. Buy this in the picture, buy the tuning service (my recommendation is FRP), and get to tuning.

Thank you for contacting HP Tuners. We offer custom tuning software (tools) that the professional tuner shop or hardcore enthusiast uses to create their own custom tunes. While the MPVI4 (which comes with VCM Suite, VCM Editor, and a programming cable) provides full tuning support for your vehicle, it does not include any base/canned tunes, nor can we provide any specific guidance when it comes to tuning. Below I have provided answers to our most common questions.

Meet MPVI4: The Future of Custom Vehicle Tuning
https://www.hptuners.com/articles/meet-mpvi4/

What is an MPVI4?
The MPVI4 gives you the flexibility to work with a professional tuner or tune the vehicle yourself--if you aspire to do so.
The MPVI4 comes with everything you need, minus credits. The device, cable, and software (tuning software and scanning software) are $399.99

That is what they sent to me.

Your ecm (ecu, whatever) already has a tune on it. You use the HPT to go in and edit it to how you want to work with your new cam. Or you can find people online who you give them your specs and they will make a tune for you that you then upload with your HPT.

Just got a set of 16 high performance hellcat springs from dealership for $86, lol. the pcv costed me more than that. if they are good enough to handle 700 hp from hellcat, i think, i will be fine with those on my built.
