image0000001_10(2).jpg 20171230_1139081.jpg My 1957 D-100 is my pride and joy. She's still a working progress as a result of sitting for 15 years. This truck has come to me by father's passing and I want to get her back to as close to factory as the times will allow. The original 315 cid poly engine is OEM and with only 68k miles on the entire truck this project isn't much of a project at all. The hardest part is finding factory equipment. I personally rebuilt the transmission with all new old stock, numbers matching gears. This old diamond in the rough has been garage kept all of it's life and will soon have a house to share with it's brother, a 1957 panel truck.

Thank you. I was wondering how old was too old to be posting on this site because all I'm seeing is brand new trucks (compared to this.) It has no radio from factory, with the old 3 speed on the tree. All the research I've done for this truck, is making me realize how rare she is. Dodge made this body style in 1957 only.

I wanted to share this beautiful piece of Mopar history with the world as she's been hidden from the world, in a garage since nearly new. Not many have ever seen this truck, much less knows she has a bigger brother.

That's cool. My dad and I had a '56 for short time (bought from my uncle). Unfortunately, we sold it. It needed all glass, etc. Parts for old Dodges are more difficult and costly to come by (vs. Chevy & Ford).

Old Dodge trucks are nearly extinct because of serious rust and the lack of supply of parts. I ordered the glass for both doors and wings. I put the passenger door glass in myself but the wings will be a pain.

When I rebuilt the transmission, I found everything on eBay in new old stock (NOS) condition. It took me months of counting teeth on gears, on my cell phone, to find every gear to finish it. My dad seen the newly finished transmission before he passed away but never got the chance to hear her run one last time.
For the first time in 15 years, on New Year's day, I got this old girl running once again. It was a very emotional moment in my life because my dad loved this truck too.

Killer truck, do you have an Instagram page? If not that would be a great platform to share it, I'm sure it would grab followers, likes, and well deserved recognition!

Thank you. Unfortunately, I lost my father but as a result of that loss, I inherited this old girl. It will be me and me alone working to restore her. I first heard it run again (after 15 years) this New Year's day and had quite an emotional moment of joy. This beauty has been in my family for 31 years.

Sorry for your loss.

That's a keeper.
As far a stick goes, I loved my old 3 on the tree 1979 F100.

Great rig, DEW! When my father passed, he left me a Ford Ranger...while it served as reliable transportation, it wasn't a classic by any stretch. Of course, he had already bought me a '66 Mustang coupe, so that box was checked. Anyway, I know what it's like to lose a dad (mine passed the summer of senior year in high school) and that Mustang still needed restoration. Here we are 30 years later and my classic is still awaiting its trip on a flatbed so it can be brought back to its former glory. Hang in there and keep us posted; you've definitely got a keeper, too!
