2010 Puddle light bulbs burnt-out and they are on national backorder. They aren't cheap to replace ($600+). Luckily I have max care which covered it. You have to replace the whole chrome towning mirror..

Anyhow, the lights stay on for over 20 mins.

There is a service bulletin which you can get completed to save you from dead lights and a 600+ bill.

HELP USING THE wiTECH DIAGNOSTIC APPLICATION FOR FLASHING AN ECU IS AVAILABLE BY SELECTING "HELP" THEN "HELP CONTENTS" AT THE TOP OF THE wiTECH DIAGNOSTIC APPLICATION WINDOW.

Flash: Exterior Mirror Courtesy Lamps Stay On Longer Than The Customer Desires.

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves checking the software version and, if necessary, flash reprogramming front Door Control Modules with new software.

2010-2011 (DS) Ram Truck (1500 Pick Up)

2010-2011 (DD) Ram Truck (3500 Cab Chassis)

2010-2011 (DJ) Ram Truck (2500 Pick Up)

2010-2011 (DX) Ram Truck (Reg Cab Chassis)

2010-2011 (D2) Ram Truck (3500 Pick Up)

2011 (DP) Ram Truck (4500/5500 Cab Chassis)

NOTE :This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with Exterior Mirror Courtesy Lights (sales code LEC) built between **January 1, 2010 (MDH 0101XX)** and December 13, 2010 (1213XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The Exterior Mirrors Courtesy Lamps may stay lit longer then the courtesy lighting time out (after the interior courtesy lights have shut off).

DIAGNOSIS:
If the vehicle operator describes the above Symptom/Condition, perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

NOTE :**The software flash performed under this service bulletin (part level AF) reverts the Exterior Mirror Courtesy Lamps time out behavior to that found in part revision level AC. It is not necessary to update the AC level, or earlier, parts.**

NOTE :If this flash process is interrupted/aborted, the flash should be restarted.

1. Verify all front Door Control Modules are functioning as designed. If DTC's are present, record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further.

2. **Using the wiTECH determine the Door Control Modules part revision level**

3. **Is the Door Control Modules part revision level at AD or AE?**

a. **Yes >>> Proceed to Step # 4**

b. **NO >>>> This service bulletin does not apply. Further diagnosis may be required.**


4. Using the wiTECH Diagnostic Application for flashing Front Door Control Modules is made available through the wiTECH Diagnostic Application. For instructions select the "HELP" tab on upper portion of the wiTECH window, then "HELP CONTENTS." This will open the Welcome to wiTECH Help screen where help topics can be selected.

5. Clear any DTC's that may have been set in other modules due to reprogramming. The wiTECH application will automatically present all DTCs after the flash and allow the tech to clear them.

6. Perform the Door Module Relearn/Normalize procedure on the left and right Door Modules. Refer to the procedures available in DealerConnect/TechCONNECT > Group 08 - Electrical > 8N - Power Systems > Power Windows > Standard Procedure - Clear/Relearn.
