Anyone install a push button start similar to the SRTs?
I am thinking of replacing the lighter in the ash tray with the button.

I know, but wanted to see if any 2nd genners had done it. I have a button already but think I might get a blue one instead

I did it... In a cavalier. It's super easy to do. Basically you're just hot wiring the truck.

I had thought about doing one and just using one of my horn buttons instead of using a new push button

how does something like this work? like would anyone just be able to get in your truck and start it?

The way I've always done it was you still have to use the key, you just turn the ignition to "run" then hit the button to actually start it

another way is to hide a switch (inside center console, on the floor etc.) so the push button is dead until the hidden switch is flipped.

A good friend of mine did this to his 04 focus and put door poppers in so he needs no key, just a remote. he got the idea from the aftermarket push starts his dad used in his drag cars.
