Wanting to buy a general collection of the various types of automotive push pins. Ideally something that's used across several platforms and/or brands. There are several on eBay and amazon. Just checking to see if anyone has a recommendation of one their happy with.

Thanks!

Sorry mods. I was asking for pins that were good across multiple platforms. That’s why I put it in “garage”. Didn’t mean to upset anyone.

No worries. Some of the push pins vary from generation to generation so putting it in the 4th Gen section made sense based on the year of your truck and your expressed need.

Go to your local NAPA store, some store have racks that you spin to see what is on the racks.
Other stores just have racks against the walls

They have Xmas Tree Pins, also called Push Pins
from every auto manufacturer

They come on different lengths & Head Sizes
Usually the packages are marked with vehicle brands

proper names

I've gotten them from harbor freight in the past. They were cheap (in price and quality) so I wouldn't recommend buying from them. Some were pretty deformed in the package.

That’s what I’ve done in the past, run down to local auto parts stores when I need 1 or 2. End up paying $7 for a couple pins. That’s why I was looking for an assortment to save a couple bucks and not have to run to the store in the middle of a project.

Depending on how particular you are, those aftermarket fasteners from eBay and Amazon chinese cloners do not work as well as OEM. Sure, they are sufficient for some cases, particularly if it’s just a single fastener in a group. But they hardly ever have the holding power of OEM. I have restored several vehicles and found that out the hard way.

Which is unfortunate, the original stuff is stupidly expen$ive.
