I need to change the shocks on my 2005 Power Wagon...they are the original ones!!

I tried searching but got little results. I sense that they are the same as a regular 2500 series but I would like confirmation please?

I would like the truck to have a smoother ride so do I need to stick with Bilsteins? How about the Rancho 5000 series?

I would not go with Rancho. I just put on fox 2.0 reservoir shocks rides alot better

Get some biltein 5100s, not the OEM bilsteins. 5100s are a MUCH better ride.

Every rancho shock I've ever had rode very rough.

Thanks for the replies. Are they the same as a 2500 model??

Not to hijack this thread, do any 2500 shocks work for the PW? Secondly I see the fox 2.0 for $139, would replacing them be a big upgrade in ride quality?

The research I did indicates that they all fit. The Bilstein site indicated the same part number for the power wagon and the 2500.

I put on the fox 2.0 shocks on rear and made a huge difference. I have the fox 2.0 reservoir shocks for front but have not put on yet. I'm waiting on my thuren front springs which should be this week. I do believe the shocks for 2500 and pw are same but you have to buy the extended length ones for pw. My rear ones are 0-1 1/2 inch lift. My front ones are for 2-4 inch lift. Which will work fine with the thuren 1 1/2 springs

I purchased all four shocks from shocksurplus.com for a really good price. The lowest I could find.
