Hey guys,
I tried a search but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I want to do a 2 or 2.5" level and add bilsteins. I had a zone 1.5" body lift I was going to buy but then I figured buying bilsteins would give me more height for less of an install cost.

Does anyone know If the combo of a 2" level and bilsteins set at max would be higher than a 2" level and a 1.5" body lift?

Thanks guys!

If your talking about 2 inch spacers and the bilstein's that would be too much for the front end of your truck. You can use the bilsteins maxed at 2.8' but that by itself maybe to much for stock UCA's on a 14.

I've ordered new UCA'S as well! Would the bilsteins paired with the spacer be higher than with a 1.5" body lift though?

Pairing Bilsteins and a spacer is not a good idea, and pointless. When you get over 2.8", you're going to have extreme driveline angles with a lot of 4x4 shudder. I even have some light shudder with mine at 2.1. UCAs are recommended for all lifting on 13 and up, IMO. Pick up some low cost Movotech UCAs and save some money compared to the Zones. I think your best bet is Bilsteins at 2.1 or 2.8 and the 1.5 body lift.

Thanks for the info! Yes actually those are the UCA'S I bought! I just didn't know if a 1.5" body lift would give me the height I was after but I don't know if I want to go 3" on the body!

What size tires are you planning on running?

I haven't decided 100% yet on that. I want to run duratracs that are slightly bigger than stock. I don't know a ton about tire sizes though tbh lol

You can run 34" tires on a level or level +1.5" body lift and look great. I have Bilstein at 2.8" with 1.75" rear coil spacers and 3" of body lift, riding on a big 35" tire. More pics in my build thread if you'd like more reference to what 3" body lift can look like.

Yeah I've seen your truck and it looks awesome! I'm ordering up a 3" body lift today to go with my 2" level! Hopefully can get it put on next week!

Can't wait to see some pics. Should look sweet. You have a wheel/tire combo picked out yet?

I'm deffinitly going to get Duratracs! I think 275/65/20. According to Tire Rack that's a 34" tire so it'll give me an extra inch over stock but 10 lbs lighter than the 35's. I'm looking at the XD Monster Chrome wheels with a -12 offset. I think I'll do wheels and tires this fall though and just run stocks until then! I deffinitly need the tires before winter though!

I just have to figure out the weight difference between the XD's and my stock wheels! Haha

Laramie Longhorn wheels are 34.5 lbs. 20x10 XD Monster -12mm offset wheels are 40.5 lbs. Step down to the 20x9 18mm offset wheels and they are 36.4 lbs.

Thanks for that! I wasn't sure how I'd find the weight for the longhorn wheels! Haha
