Was just wondering when installing new mufflex, I've read on here that the use of a high temp. Sealant needs to be used, if so is it put all around the part of the muffler that is inserted into the exhaust pipe and if so don't be afraid of the amount used, any comments are appreciated. Also what does everyone do with their stock mufflers that they remove just scrap or what ?

I didn't use any sealant. Just bolted mine right on. Had to use some WD-40 to get the factory muffler off, but the mufflex bolted right up and lining up the factory duals was relatively easy. I ended up taking my factory muffler to a scrap yard and got a few bucks for it. I've seen a few people try and sell their factory muffler, but didn't follow up to see if they sold or not.

I didn't use any sealant either just an impact gun and sockets. Went on easy!
