Just curious if the front differential on 4wd also needs a LSD, reason I'm asking is I bought an Auburn for my truck but it got me thinking, since I needed to buy gears for both front and rear does that also hold true for the LSD?

not on 3rd gens, the front isn't engaged until your turn it on and it kicks in the transfer case

Wish there was a Locker avail like the SFA's. Some additional Info for you to ponder based on experience (was gonna post this on your last thread but noticed it was a question for the Amsoil folks so to be polite I withdrew it).

So here Goes: The Auburn Unit comes with a bottle of friction modifier, however their own brand tends to fog-up and clump thicken after short shelf life. Strange as it sounds Most use the FORD Motorcraft Friction Modifier as it is said to be real good (Used to use it in all my 9" L Diffs). warranty is also good as it is listed in the Manual that comes with the Diff.
Was gonna post a pic but my Photobucket ain't workin. Also the Auburn uses 80w90 instead of the usual Full Synthetic. Also when I changed my gears up front I went the opposite and changed to full Synthetic 75w90.
