Got these for cheap, figured I could use them either in an RC car, or my truck, or computers, really in so many different places.

Only problem is...my headlights don't look nice with them, I am sure someone on here will fix that when I get around to it.

Needs some of those bright ass led bars behind the grille as well I think, a couple 6 or 8 inch versions perhaps?

They are flexible LED strips, that secure with double sided tape to the underside of the chrome grille as far back as possible. I had to put a little extra heat shrink on the ends to hide the wires as they go behind the grille, then they go up and over the grille and all meet in the hole where the hood latch is. Lots of heat shrink too keep all the visible leads black and tight, tie wrap em so you can't see them, and had some leads run to the connector by the radiator that does the headlights and ties in there.

Works good, but only come on when it's dark out or if I turn on the headlights manually, for some reason the daytime running lights doesn't turn them on? I spent 10 years as an electrician and it doesn't make much sense, but then I haven't really delved into it.

You can also see I managed to buy two different colors, they both said white, and they both looked white in the store lol.

spiffy!

I bet the DRLs don't run 'em because when the DRLs are lit, they aren't getting the full 12v - so, not enough to power them bad boys

You are probably right, my meter is down at the shop so I hadn't checked yet. But that makes sense!

Hmm just a thought, I think it would look super bad ass with the bottom ones all the way down just like the top ones... Also I really like to know where you got these cause my last set wasn't nearly this good

Walmart they are one meter long cut in two per package. Would work good for bed lighting, toolboxes, whatever. You cant see them at all when not lit which is why i hid them underneath. 2 packs at 10 bucks each plus heat shrink and you are done.
