Well, so much for this gaining traction. I also encountered this same scary issue in my 2018 1500 with 28k miles in the cooler months. Was on the interstate when I was switching lanes and realized no power steering. Was able to at least pull over and turn vehicle off then back on and it’s been fine since, but if it was in a turn this would have caused a severe accident. Never bothered to mention it to dealerships as they’ll just scoff it off and I can’t afford the $5,000 repair cost so gambling with mine and everyone else’s life on the road I guess. What a shame.
