Hey, my fellow RAM peeps. I have a 2022 Ram 1500 Limited I bought new. It now has approx. 45k miles. There have been so many glitches with the electrical system, and I do not know what the F to do at this point. The dealer is close here in FL, but I doubt I have a warranty left. Anyway, the latest thing is when I pull into a place or my driveway, I hit the button to turn it off and it stays on! Not even in the ALT state, but the RUN one. OMG. I have been in the Publix parking lot several times and I lock my truck, etc. However, the stereo is still jamming, and the engine appears to be running. What is this? I love my truck, and I love all of the upgraded features, but my husband and I think it is too sophisticated maybe? Other issues have involved the stereo turning off, or the big screen going dark without me pushing the button that is supposed to do that. A couple of times, the truck even quits working while I am driving! yikes. I did take it to the dealer after that. I really do not even remember what they did or told me was happening. Advice??

You might want to consider going ahead and getting an extended Max Care warranty through one of the recommended dealers that sells them at just about cost. At least it will give you some peace of mind about a huge repair bill. But basically you are probably going to have to take it back to the dealer for that issue. Either that or trade it in. Good luck.

Hi All.

This same thing just happened to me yesterday... 2022 Ram 1500 Bighorn, with 25,*** miles on it. Like, WTF?!? Got to the grocery store... pushed the 'on/off' button, truck wouldn't turn off. Confirmed I was in 'Park'... tried again, same. Shifted to 'D', then 'R', then 'P' again... same. Finally, kept hammering on the button... and after about 12 pushes, it turned off.

I'm guessing it'll happen again. I'm still under warranty, so would it be worth having my local dealer 'scan for a code' or won't this throw one?? Any help/advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

Next time it does it,push and hold the "start" button,as that's the default setting to shut them off if they won't go into park, like say you've blown a u-joint /transmission etc. You might have to hold the start button down for upwards of 30 seconds to a minute to get it to shut off. I got nothing on a cure to fix your issue, just clueing you into how to shut it off if it does it again.

Thanks, I appreciate the reply. Atleast I'll have a way to shut it off. If it does happen again, the dealer's getting a call!!
