Please explain why you think it's snake oil. Everything I have read and seen indicates that it significantly reduces the oil temperature and from its engineering design I have no doubts that it does. It also eliminates the need to remove the cover for future gear oil changes, which significantly increases the ease of performing them and perhaps promotes more frequent oil changes. Hell, I know guys who have never changed their differential oil in over 100k miles and keep on truck'n! It has a magnetic drain plug at the bottom to facilitate easy oil changes and capture any metal particulate that woud indicate wear, and a sight glass at the fill level to see the condition / color of the oil. So please, where is the snake oil? I have no affiliation to Banks but yes, I did install one on my truck.Banks snake oil. Save your money for something else.
