Ram front diff

Anybody know if there is any reason I couldn't put a 09-10 ram 1500 front end in a 2013?
I have the output shaft problem. Only way of fixing it is buying the whole thing. F it happened once it will happen again so why not just buy an older one which has replaceable parts in it.

You can put the older style in your 13. Some of the member have done that because they wanted to change gear ratio and the newer 4th gen front differential will not allow it so they have replaced the complete differential with the older style. There may also be some brackets that have to be changed or manufactured, I can't remember. I think if you look you can find a few threads that talk about the change process.
