Based on the below article (and also as seen on TK's Garage YouTube channel), Ram is moving forward with dropping E-torque from the 5.7 hemi engine in models other than the upcoming Rumble Bee trucks. I think a whole lot of us really do hope this comes to fruition. Again, we play the wait and see game.

Any updates?

Are they dropping the 5.7 Hemi along with e-Dorque - or will it be in limited models as you stated with the Bumble Bee?

The fact they are dropping eTorque from some models is terrific. I am still amazed that they ever, in a million years, came up with that particular system in the first place. It must have cost them a fortune to develop and manufacture it, and now they have all the associated warranty work, my God. A monumental blunder IMHO.

The article I highlighted stated the plan was to drop e-Torque from the 5.7 in other than the Rumble Bee. From other sources I have read that is indeed the plan. There have been so many complaints, failures and supply chain issues that they are moving away from that system. Of course there are also plenty of people who have an e-Torque 1500 that have had no issues. But how long that will last is always a question mark.

Can I guarantee this - of course not since I don't work for them. However, it makes good business sense for them to do so, and multiple sources are singing the same tune. Below is another article about this as well.

My first RAM was a 2007 2500 5.9 Cummins DblCab 8ft Bed 4wd = LOVED it

Currently in a 2022 1500 CC 4wd 6'4 Bed without e-Torque = Running it in Tow/Haul Mode

You and @kt4hx may like this video or you may hate it

I trust my 2022 5.7 Hemi = i do not trust MDS = when i get some $$$ i will replace with solid lifters as well as install the Hellcat Oil Pump and more
