So I had a code that said my mds wasn't responding
So I cleared it and it came back a few times
I called the mechanic he said bring it in in a few days
I started to see if I could fix it I ordered the mds solienoids online and was trying to see if I could do the job and took the top off ( it was left bank on the code and it would shudder at 40 ish?)
So I cleared the codes changed the plugs on #4 ( they weren't bad at all btw) still a code for cyl #4 missfire
Ok
So I swapped coils 1 to 4 4 to 1
Same code ( no mds codes at this point) drove it in tow mode
It was ok but 1 block check engine came on
Did compression test
110 on the left spark 130 on right side of #4
Ok
Put in new coil pack ( I live next door to auto zone)
Still nothing but it did run slightly better and took a few minutes to get a code

When this started I read to change oil for mds problems so I did to the 5 -20
Now I'm stuck
Any other ideas why #4 is misfiring?
The mechanic is 50 miles away and I think I'm down to my last AAA tow
So trying to conserve
I am pretty sure I can pull the intake off and do the MDS solenoids
But any thoughts besides spark, coils ? I. Checked wiring seems legit has signals
help?
