I am not sure if I have a blown strut yet (I will be dropping it this weekend to check) but I am trying to prepare for the worst. In looking for a replacement for my 2017 REBEL 4x4 5.7L, I am coming up with multiple part numbers. Not just the last letter, but completely different part numbers, even on the Mopar parts sites. Some have the Yellow Bilstein shock, and some have a black shock.

My question, is what is the CORRECT part number for a REBEL? I assume the black is the standard strut for non-rebel trucks, but that goes against the Mopar4 parts site.

The two main numbers I keep coming up with are: 4877146ah & 68232283af. The later of the two is the Bilstein model, but the Mopar parts site shows the 4877146ah (black struck) when selected 2017 RAM 1500 REBEL 4x4 5.7L.

Reference: Part # 12 at link below - 4WD, W/ AIR SUSPENSION.

Details of the part 4877146ah - States it is compatible with non-Rebel also...

I can't believe nobody out there has any info on this. I hate to call the starship, but it might be my next move.

Intense, what did you decide to do?
Honestly, I haven't done anything with it. I ended up putting it on hold because of relocating with a promotion to another state. I have been thinking about it again lately, but still no answer found. I'm still not sure it one or both are bad but I have been thinking of upgrading the rear sway bar to help sturdy it up a bit while pulling our pop up camper as it's still a bit soft at times.

Did you use your VIN when you searched the part numbers? That’s how the dealership would search.

Good call oe542bob! I went back to the site, and used my VIN instead of of selecting model. This time, it showed additional parts numbers for the air struts.
