Rambox on 3rd gen??

I have a 2002 and the bed has recently rusted through above the wheels as is common on these trucks and was looking at options and was curious if anyone has put a rambox bed on a third gen and if so does it look right

Rambox comes on the 4th gen, meaning you want to put a 4th gen box on a 3rd gen. You can mount it probably but the body lines will not line up at all.

That's what I was wondering about is the body lines haven't really looked at them side by side

Body lines won't line up. It should physically bolt on, but it might look...weird

It may not work. The 4th gen rams have a curved body. When I pull cabs I have to roll the frame backwards because the cab physically sits in the bed. The bed curves over the cab. Look closer at that picture. The 3rd gen is flat and I can pull that cab straight up

Your right it does have a weird shape with the bed/can do it might very well prevent it from being physically possible

I never noticed that until you said something, then I looked again and it's plain as day lol

However if you had some metal fab skills you could do anything make ram boxes out of the old bed

Had the thought of cutting the boxes out and fabbing into a third gen bed but never have attempted that big of a project before but I know it could be done
