Sub'd... This has been on my wish list for the last 3 4th gens I've had... If I ever come across a bed in good shape.

Post up any harness PNs you use if you can.

XB9 = Rambox
XAC = Backup Camera
GXM = Keyless entry
XAA = Rear Parksense
LAE = Sport taillamps

Here’s a list of the harnesses and options

68261476ad is the one I went with...it has a plug for the rear parksense....which will be going in later..
So there are terminals in the I220 chassis side on the new harness....I picked up a used I220 body side harness and depinned enough terminals to put in my I220 body side to run to the parksense module. I’m also going to run another wire for the bed light switch, and see if I can get it to work with alpha OBD

You’ll notice that the harness does not mention bed lighting, but the connectors and terminals are there. Also has terminals for lock/unlock drivers that are not mentioned in the code for the harness. I think these are automatically included when you have a Rambox feature

Rambox is something I wanted too, so last summer I was looking at 2019\2020. They don’t have the Rambox in a 6.4 bed. I like my truck, so figured I would just upgrade it

Here is the I220 connector dropped off the mounting bracket

79a5320a6dbd6fc2172c92ff894eaa02.jpg

The lever would only move about 15°. There was grit and dirt blocking it. Blew it out with compressed air and connector lubricant spray. I was really happy when it opened, because I really didn’t have a Plan B

Once the bodyside and chassis side are separated the cam cover needs to come off. It will not come off in the open position. There are two small tabs on either side, that lock it down when it is fully opened. They need to be pulled back, there is a pick on one of them in the picture. With both sides pulled back, the cam is advanced to almost closed. Then there is a push tab in the front, near the end of my thumb. The whole cover will rotate up and back, and come off.

It is a good thing I had an old one to practice with to figure out how to take it apart otherwise I would have broken it. I actually broke the two back locking tabs off the old one

Once the cover is off there is access to the connector to add new pins, There are silicone plugs in the holes that need to be pushed out. 0.35 welding wire works well for this

Be careful with that aptiv / Delphi connector & pins... I still haven't found PNs and source for the terminals in that connector. (Wouldn't mind getting your old connector/parts so I can see about finding a source and test fit /verify any terminals I get).

Here is a part number for you, the female terminal, Bonafide

571-1241380-3-LP

And the silicon plug. 571-963530-1

Can’t help you with the male terminals, Maybe you can reverse engineer it from the female part number

When I get done, I’ll send you the block to play with

Today got a lot done
Got the new chassis harness in
Got the parksense terminals pinned in to the body harness connector, and have continuity back to the park sense chassis connector on all six terminals
Got a another harness laid in that Roman provided for Blindspot monitoring.
And got the bed bolted down. No error codes, brake lights taillights everything work normally

Even put the tailgate from my 2017 on and it is a perfect fit as well.

Congrat's!!!! That was quite a project. Thanks for the write-up. I'm sure it will help someone in the future. The results look great.

Thanks Jay, there’s more to come. I am re-wiring the boxes, and putting new lids on them. That’s going to happen in the next week or so, so I’m running around without the boxes in there.

But today I got some bling installed, new rear tail lights with Blindspot monitor. The tailgate is in the shop getting skinned and repainted

I’ll let them sit overnight, put them in tomorrow, keep my fingers crossed, all the wiring is done for the rear

The bed I swapped on was from a 2014 and had the factory spray bed liner. It was in pretty good shape. Got in there with some simple green, a brush, then powerwashed it out

Then used this Mopar product

And got this result.... looks like new

Are you planning to use this truck as a show truck? It sure has the potential because it's a 1 off build.

Blue Mule

Tell you the truth, I hadn’t even thought about it
