Ram's MVP Maximum Care plan

I'm looking to see what the Ram's MVP Maximum Care plan costs?
Is there any wiggle room in the price or is it what it is?
When did you start the coverage? Was it when you took delivery or up to the three year timeframe?

I'm just trying to do my homework before I take delivery of my Ram 2500 in a couple of weeks and before I sit down with the dealer to discuss extended warranties. Thanks for any input. I do appreciate it.

If you are referring to a genuine Mopar extended warranty (like MaxCare, etc), you can add it onto your vehicle at any time within the original factory warranty. Dont feel pressured to only use the dealer only at close of deal time.

I personally bought my MaxCare warranty from ChryslerFactoryPlans (.com) for far less than my selling dealer quoted.

I suppose if I tried to bargain with the dealer at time of sale I could have gotten a slightly better price, but I doubt it would have come close to what I paid online. It shows up in my Mopar Owner Dashboard just like if I would have bought it from my dealer, so there is no worry about it not being valid because I bought it somewhere else.

I'm not sure about the 2500 but the 8/125 $200 ded plan was running about $2400 in late 2019 on the 1500's. That starts from the day sold so it really a 5 yr plan.

You can go to the Zeigler website or the one mentioned above and get a guote on the 2500 for reference before you pick up the truck. There are generally increases at 12/12 on the new vehicle so there's a savings to be had by buying within the first year.

It's generally held on the forum that one should buy the warranty from Mopar and not a third party one like my dealer was pushing hard when I bought my 19. He wanted $4600 for the third party one and I bought the Mopar one from Robbins Chrysler, four states away in 2019 - $2370.
