I got a 97 1 ton that I want to put a ranch hand on. New ones are ballpark $1600, so I found one on Facebook marketplace for $550, but its for a 03-05 3rd gen. Will it fit without a bunch of modifications?

Look at the front end of each, then ask yourself if it's really worth it. With time and effort sure you could do it.

If $550 is in your budget, you can get a "weld it yourself" kit that fits your trucks year. I got one myself and put it on my 2012 from movebumpers.com and they have a couple styles to choose from but i dont think they carry ranch hand
