Just got the truck last month. Has almost 50k on it and everything is solid. Steering is tighter than any vehicle I've ever had! But I have this annoying high speed rattle once I hit a bump. I cant feel it in the wheel so I'm guessing its suspension related.

You can only feel it in the pedals. It feels like 3 or 4 quick bumps. It's not side specific. I'm lost because everything is tight as can be! Checked all the body mounts as well. Anyone experience something similar? I only have 1000 miles of bumper to bumper warranty and the shop cant seem to find it (shocker)...

I have a similar issue and mine is the brake pedal. There is a lot of play in it. Next time I have the truck in I will have them look at it. If you have place where you know it happens all the time try to put your toes under the brake pedal and pull back to hold it place while you go over the bumps. Mine goes away when I do this. My truck is a 2018

My 06 did the same as posted by Russell, (Mine was e brake) but if it’s not that then I would give them the keys and say don’t call me till it’s fixed. But that’s just me. Gl bud and nice truck.

My 14 did that. This one is solid. It's almost like something is hitting the firewall. If I have it on cruise control I never notice it.

Hey Fletch
I have a 2017 Ram 2500 Diesel Limited. Been having the same issue for the last year. Back and forth to my local dealer. So for the past year they thought it was suspension then steering column throwing lots of parts on it trying to see if anything made a difference not to mention thousands of dollars in man hours. Just recently they discovered that it appears its the brake pedal that is rattling over the bumps. They ordered what they told me was a new brake pedal assembly and swapped it out. NO CHANGE. Dealership through all this was dealing with engineering department to see if there were any other similar cases which they said none, LOL. So the latest I got from dealer and engineering is that they have done all they can and the problem is inherent to the vehicle. Service manager showed me what the actual issue is. The brake assembly on my truck is adjustable and the worm gear that moves the pedal back and forth has play in it. It can be minimized by moving the pedal to the full out or fully in positions but the rattle is still there. There is a video on you tube where a guy changes the spring in the assembly to a stronger spring keeping pressure on the peddle eliminating the play. Yup a 10cent part and a you tuber solved the problem that engineering and Dodge refuse to do. Pretty bad. So at the moment I have done what lots of other unhappy dodge customers are doing. Using bungee cord to try and take the play out of the peddle. I'm definitely going to be keeping this in mind when I consider a Dodge on my next truck purchase. O and I almost forgot. I thought I would ask if the new brake pedal they put in my truck was actually brand new or a refurbished part. The answer I got was they couldn't be sure. Reason I asked is we took out a brand new 2018 with 200 kms on it and the pedal was much stiffer and no rattle was felt on the same road surface we drove my truck on. Any advice on what steps I can take next would be appreciated

That's a funny story about the brake pedal. The brake pedal in my '95 Ram used to rattle and I fixed it with a bungy cord. Was still there when I traded it in. The circle of life......

UPDATE: After meeting with Manager of dealership and complaining to FCA. My service manager whos been fantastic through all of this despite getting nowhere with engineering decided to try and swap out my brand new already replaced brake pedal assembly a second time just to see if perhaps we got a dud new part. Well all I can say as im glad we did. Problem fixed the new assembly is quiet as a mouse. No rattle in the brake truck drives like new. So much for quality control with their parts. Well see how long the rattle stays quiet. 1 Week so far so good! Keep yas posted!!
