well I haven't had my Ram for long maybe a week or 2 now and my amazing wife bought me some Iron Bull front an rear bumpers, so I figured she bought that an I.might as well lift it while im at it, I talked to Rough Country today an they said they have tried to fit a 2012 with a lift from a 11' or 10' so my question is ...... does anyone know if that 4" or even the 6" RC fit my 2012 rig?

thanks all
Frank

That's awesome right there! Definitely jealous of those bumpers. Yeah, I don't think there should be any problems with the lift with a 2012. You may be on your way to having the first 2012 lifted on here. :D

I for think you there is any suspension difference between the two but I would say just go for the 6", I think it's a nicer kit and most people who do 4" wish they went 6"

What kevin said, a 6" lift with nothing more will still uaually fit in a 7' garage door, as long as there isn't snow built up in front of it or something. Have to be careful

well luckyfully i live in GA right now, im orginally from NY so im used to the snow, I've decided to go with the 6'' and 37's, but we ran into a major wall, RC said that the 4'' or the 6'' wont fit dodge changed something an they have to change a bolt patteren on something underneath, only reason i know is the guy who is liftting my truck called them to confirm it an the guys from RC went over to a dodge dealer ship an messured everything to make sure, an they came back with they have to make a new part so looks like the lift and wheels are on hold for right now guys, but as far as the bumpers go they will be here in 2 to 3 weeks ready to be put on

Really? The 05 with a level and 35s is maybe a 1/2" from 7 feet

Not arguing, just my experience, I have a 2011 with a 2.5 level and 1.25 BL and 35's (total of 3.75 + the tires)and I'm 2" from the top of my garage door, I'm taking out the level and putting in a 4" and hoping I can be crafty enough to make it still squeeze in there. I'm sure someday you'll see a thread with my dented roof, lol.

With a 6" lift and 35.5s mine wouldn't fit. I don't remember now how far it was off, but I want to say about an 1" from an 7' door. I know a guy that's got the same lift as me running 35s that he said he clears his garage by about 1/2" but I think his house is newer so I don't know if they are making garages bigger now or what.

I think a stock 1500 with 33" is 75" tall. I did alot of research before I lifted mine. I know with 8" of lift up front and 35s, I could get under the 84" limit at the car wash.

That's hard to believe dodge changed a bolt pattern so the RC lift wouldn't work. If that's the case, most lift companies will have to change their setup to fit too.

That is weird about the difference in lift kits. I know that the 2010 kit woul not fit on my 2011. You could always look at different brand lift kits. I have a 6" Zone with adjustable shocks set to max and I love it. Just something to think about. Can't wait to see sOme pictures.

no saddly they didnt give me any kind of time line on when they will have a lift kit for the 2012's, but the guy who is lifting it had the same problem with his when he bought his dodge took about 6 months to get the lift, but for now we are gonna throw a leveling kit on her with 35's soooooo thats getting done tomorrow, and im pretty pumped about that, pix will come soon
