Okay my question is about the drive shaft in a RCSB 2WD with 6spd and 3.21's. I want to change the gears down to 3.92's and I've heard something/rumour about drive shafts imploding at high speeds. So can someone here shed some light on this before I leap?

Most of the driveshaft problems have been with the 8 speed trans with the 3.92's, although I'm not positive about the 5/6 speeds. They may have had the same problem however I haven't had a chance to research that. You can also check with member "Wild one" about the driveshaft issue.

Edit---problems with the driveshaft were only with the 8 speed--Jay

I suggest looking into 4.10s. I'm not sure if it'll work with your 12. 4.10 is a good all around final gear for the 5/6 speed.
