3" no clue, never messed with it.

I got the 1.25 kit for about 125 bucks. Took about 5 hours to install it, not rushing through anything.

What was being cut off the back of the truck and what part of the bumper was cut? Just trying to see what I'm looking at doing this

These set-ups must make your trailer hitch look awfully goofy...

Any pictures of your trucks tail end that include the hitch? I am sure it is still beautiful lol, just curious how the hitch part comes out.

NVM, just looked more thoroughly at all the pictures. I guess a guy would have to make some major exhaust and hitch adjustments if he went with the 3 in kit though, other wise it might look kind of goofy.

Yours looks great though.

Just in case anyone else was wondering:

3" would definitely take more exhaust work.

Where you order it from JJ?

MPC, a vendor here. They are here and gone at random times though.....

Not sure if Dave can get these or not, I assume so.

JJ,
Do you have the factory front tow hooks? I was bought this kit and was looking through the instructions and they don't mention them at all. I am wondering if this kit impacts them at all, or will I need to remove them or perhaps come up with a spacer for them?

You have to "modify" the brackets a bit to keep the tow hooks. Somethig along this line...cut out the entire middle section of the bracket and grind down the pin on the back. Then just make minor adjustments (grinding more) until the bracket clears. It will work, just take some doing.

Thanks. Looks simple enough, but what about where the tow hook mounts to the frame?

You don't have to do anything there. It's slightly angled but still bolts fine to the frame. Just make sure you tighten the frame mount about halfway first THEN tighten the front 2. That's the easiest way to do it and keep it all lined up.
