Rear Differential Swap Need Advice

Looking to do a complete rear end swap using a 1998 Dodge Van 2x4 rear axle into my son's 1996 Ram 1500 4x4 pickup. Both differentials are 9.25 w/ 3.55 ratio. Seems a close match but we have noticed differences in the brake shoes, brake hardware and drums. Will obviously need to buy shoes/hardware/drums to fit the 98 van specs. Will this otherwise work & run successfully?

Other points of interest would be the parking brake cables, which the truck ones could be swapped over into the van axle, and the ABS sensor, which shows a different application and visually appears different. Personally, since I would pop the rear cover to pull the axles to change axle seals, I would also count the teeth on the ABS ring to make sure that matched. While I have never heard of this being an issue, I'm trying to cover all the bases.

How do hub face widths and spriemng perch widths compare? That will be where you see problems most likely

Looks like the '98 ram van rear won't work. If it had been a '97 or before should have. Thanks for the helpful comments!
