About to replica the rear shocks. Planning ahead of time, just looked under the truck. How do you get the top shock bolts out?

Remove the wheel well liner? How does it come out?

Or

Use a modified tool/wrench?

When I did mine, taking the liner out helped a lot. I also cut a wrench in half so I could get to the nut on other side of the frame.

remove the wheel well liner and get yourself a set of crows foot wrenches. makes it super easy.

How does the wheel well liner come out? Is it just the bolts I can see behind the tire?

It should just be the screws going around the lip of the fender that you unscrew.

Those and the others around the fender. It's kind of a pain in the ass, getting that liner out...

I have switched out my shocks and needed access to the upper bolt enough times that I just drilled a hole in the liner just big enough to fit 13/16 impact socket.
I use this little Craftsman stubby wrench for the inner nut.

Exactly! Maybe it's just me, but one of the worst parts of doing the rear shocks is taking that damn liner off and putting it back on, lol! Hence the hole I drilled... I'll never need to take them off again. :baby:
