I have a 2020 ram 1500 with factory stereo 8.4 screen. I’m not sure how I didn’t notice this however my rear speakers are not working. The balance is centered. If I change it to read zero sound. Only the front 2 door and dash speakers are working. I checked the fuses and not found one popped. I checked the wires on the control module under the driver seat and I see not issued. Unplugged it plugged it back same issue still no rear sound. Anything else I should check. And should I proceed with replacing the control module under the seat?

Don't start replacing parts, you should test parts. First, did you verify there are actually speakers in rear doors? I have seen weirder things. Test the output of the radio and see if the rear speaker outputs register at all. Do you have an amplifier? You need to test that as well if so.

There’s definitely speakers. I’m the only owner they just stopped working. I have to figure out how to test? Just pull the panels off the door and test the wires of the speaker?

I assume on our RAM's the cones on the speakers are paper ! They get damp and die !
Happened to the HHR I used to have !
If you have a good used speaker you can use it as a Test speaker!
Just a thought

If you haven't figured this out already, one thing you can do is pull the speakers out of the doors and test the speakers first to see if they're blown. If it's just the speakers have blown, it will save you a lot of headache trying to figure out other sources. Once you have the speaker out, you can test it by touching wires to the leads and to each side of a AA battery. One wire to each lead, and then one to the positive side and the other to the negative side of the battery. When you connect the wires the cone should pop slightly and make a little noise. If the cone is moving and making noise on both speakers, then it might be something else. If the cones don't pop or move, then your speakers are likely blown and need to be replaced.

Any luck on this scenario? I noticed the same on my 2020 awhile back and I’m about to finally dig into it.

First WELCOME

I do not think you will get a reply. His last post was May 2025 :O

But the OEM speakers on most cars are cheap to start with !
The cones are paper and get wet over time and die !
Only real way is check the speaker and if you can get a test speaker see if that works the you will know for sure !
Crutchfield is a good place to get replacement speakers, wire harness and shims !
Plus they give free tech support
