I would like to upgrade the stock towing mirrors on my project truck, a 2007.5 2500 6.7L to ones with indicators. They are already heated and powered, will I have to make any other changes to the truck to install them?

You would need to power the indicators. To have them work with your vehicle lights coming on and off you can find power in the door which powers the backlighting of your switches. But be aware that power adjusts brightness with your dimmer switch so outside lights may look a bit dim. I did the upgrade on my 2018 where I had blinkers in the mirrors but they were not on full time. You'll just need to find the correct wires and decide if you will build harness connectors or T-off the wire. Good luck.

Well, I am not sure I’ll go through with it if I need to tear my door or dash apart. I don’t have much time and I am vehemently opposed to doing MORE electrical work on crappy dodge wiring harnesses

On the 4th Gen there are at least two ways of doing it. One uses connections in the door and the other requires a connection on the passenger side under the dash. I recommend staying in the door as taking the wire loom from pillar to door apart can add problems down the line if waiting is inadvertently disturbed. I don't really notice a real difference in my lights at night when I adjust my dash lights from full brightness. I just stop at the click between full and start of adjustment range.
