Finally got my hands on a rebel grille and with two little slices of a hacksaw got it on my truck. A little background for those that don't already know, the rebel grille shaped like the 2500/3500 grille, the sides go straight down to the bumper instead of angling back in like the stock 1500 one does. Come to find out there is a framing on the back of the rebel that basically shows you where you need to cut at. Enough talking let's get on to the pics, truck is nasty and grille is clean, and I plan on painting the bumper satin black to match the grille.2de119fa5560f500223834aa440cd090.jpg this is the edge of the bracket on the inside of the rebel grille, simply cut there on both sides 92d9d3e102146ef850ea15ab46b76046.jpgacd2ef51308781df190417874b7f6211.jpg and there you have it, no crazy ugly gaps and once the bumper gets painted I think it will look even better

I've got a 2016 Tradesman and had thought about doing the same mod.

About how much did the grill and any other parts you needed cost?

You now have a lot of different color blacks on your truck. Any plans to get those painted or color matched? The grill to the bumper gray/black would look better matched.

Can you discuss prices and more detail on the install?

The grille I think retails for a little over 400 bucks, mine was actually free, perk of being a tech at a dealership. This grille came off a used rebel that had a small dent in the hood right where it met the grille and it put a 1" long very small crack in the top of the grille, you can actually only see about 1/4" of it with the hood closed. They sold the truck, customer had us change the grille as part of the deal, I got to keep the old one. There isn't really anything more to talk about on the install other than what I said in my first post, take old grille off, cut the rebel grille at both bottom corners using the bracket that comes installed on the rebel grille as a guide, throw it on your truck, it really was just that simple.

I mentioned in the original post that yes I am going to paint the front bumper a satin black to match the grille

Not bad....how big is that space between the bumper and grill? Inch or so?

Not feeling it but if it makes you happy, that is what matters.

There is no space. The grille comes down and meets the bumper, I'll get some pics in the next day or so

Added a line to another shot I had of the backside of the grille maybe it will make it clearer

Looks good! Makes me wonder if a Rebel grill would fit on a 2500!!

Rebel grille would fit a 2500 without cutting due to the way the bumper is shaped

No it wont. 2500 grill is a different shape at the top and would require a 1500 hood to be put on to work. Best bet is just get the Power Wagon grill for a 2500.

Very interested in doing this. Can you please get some close up pictures of where the bumper meets the grill and an exterior shot of the section where you cut from the outside?
