Maybe I should have asked this before buying a set of Rebel wheels. Lol.

I have stock 20’s on my truck now, I’m planning on putting a set of 17” Rebel wheels on in the near future. I have no plans to lift or level or in anyway adjust the height of the truck. Is there anything I need to be aware of or watch out for when putting the smaller rim size on? I currently have 275/60R20 tires on, the stock 17” size would be 265/70R17, the stock Rebel size is 285/70R17. What size tire should I put on to avoid any rubbing, I don’t want to put any spacers in. What do I need to watch out for or be aware of?

Nothing. The stock rebel size is just about the same as the stock 20" tires so speedo should not be affected. No rubbing or any issues, just a better looking wheel and more sidewall for a better ride.

Pic is of my truck, stock wheels, 285 70s. 74d8cfa97446046af5fffe7e88aecbd1.jpg

I tried borrowing a buddies 17s for state inspection here in mass and my truck had stock 20s and the 17s were hitting my tire rod or something like that I can’t remember exactly what was hitting. It might be because I have a lift on my truck so maybe the stock parts won’t hit but it was rubbing to the point it knocked the wheel weights off his 17s.

I replaced my stock 20s with Rebel wheels and have 285/70-17 E rated Falcon A/T3Ws.
As Hodge said above, "Nothing". No problems, no rubbing, speedo right on. Actually, my speedo has a .0058 difference from stock due to the Falcon deep tire treads.

Not to worry, put those Rebels on and enjoy.

What you are looking at is the offset rim. The higher the number the more then wheel moves inside the fender. The lower the number the wheel moves away from the fender. The stock 17x7 Aluminium offset is +24, while stock 20x8 Aluminium are +19, the rebel stock are 17x8 and +18.

I have a 2018 Express 4x4 with the rebel wheels LT285/70r17. They stick a little further out then my 20s.
