Recently purchased a 2017 Ram 3500 (dealer demo) I just received a recall notice V06. Drag link assembly jam nut comes loose. I was very surprised that the first solution is to weld the nut in place. Ram installed a defective part and rather than fix it the right way and replace the drag link assembly they want to take the cheap option. I'm a bit beside myself with frustration at Ram right now.
I've just been arguing with the recall customer service and I was told that I have no other option. WOW Am I really just screwed here? I'm a life long Ford truck owner. But I wanted my retirement Truck to to be able to tow what every I wanted and I'd heard so many good things about Ram. I feel foolish right now, and with this being my retirement truck I feel even more foolish at having trusted Ram truck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
