The tailgate recall pays the tech 12 minutes and 18 minutes with the reprogram the pcm for the shifter recall. If the panel on the tailgate has spray in bed liner covering the torks tip screws it may take that long. A wise tech will do them at the same time. Providing the department isnt busy you should be in and out quick. Our shop is less busy after lunch. My 2 cents. Personnal I can knock out the tailgate in about 3 minutes. The reflash is the only real time consumer.

Do all trucks get the tailgate recall? I have not received one. I did however get a "Drag Link separation" recall. Came in the mail yesterday.

I have the following "Recalls and Campaigns" open on my truck. I just bought it used a month or so ago.
I know it depends on the dealership, but how much downtime am i looking at?

Reprogram Powertrain Control Module - FCA Recall #U61
2015-2017 Tailgate Latch - FCA Recall #U74
2013-16 DS & 2014-16 DX 8-Speed Rotary Shifter - FCA Recall #U07
Occupant Restraint Control Module - FCA Recall #U53

Don't have a spare vehicle for daily driving so without a loaner it'll have to be weekend work.
I had those last 2 done just yesterday. I dropped it at 7:30am, and they called at 10L20am that it was done. They sent the shuttle and I was driving my truck again in no time.

Well that answers my question...phantom tailgate openings...so there is a recall and I am not be pranked or going senile...yet. Happenned tonight again. I just dont understand, its an electronic lock, but its not like the gate auto-opens, you still have to actuate the handle. I mean my doors dont automatically open. Makes no sense

I would bet it would take 2 days also see if they have the parts for the tailgate in stock for the repair before you give them your truck because then it will be a longer wait P.S my recalls I did when I went in for oil changes didn't leave it

Think their is one for the spare tire ,No heat shield in place. So this could melt your spare tire not good when you need it
