Anyone know what the set up is for these things? I have the diagram and I know that my motor on the recirc door is stripped, course its about the hardest to get to so I dont see me dropping the airbox. I saw that the left from module controls the airflow is that correct? What should I check? I already have a replacement module for the front and can replace it if that is necessary. Are all these hooked together to some kind of brain? I wondered if I unhooked the wire to the recirc door and just left it how much of an issue that is? And then I can just replace whatever is causing the current problem with the air not blowing and sometimes not cold and be done for now. Please let me know what controls that. I have the two zone in the front and doesnt matter what temp its on, its just not working properly.

As an update I took the center dash off and changed the controller because I had one (not the defrost motor which I had already verified was working). Didnt really help anything. The fan just doesnt come on as high as it used to and its not blowing cold like it did. The temperature knobs dont really do anything and of course the recirc button doesnt operate because the door motor isnt operating. That damn motor is too hard to get to unless you drop the whole airbox which is too much work. I really want to unplug it and see what that does. If it just stops it I think since its in the open to the outside position thats fine. The real question is what is malfunctioning?

update #2, I cut away the tab that was in the way and unplugged the recirc door; stopped the noise but didnt help the problem of basically no air.

Does anyone know how the brains of this thing operate? I just need to get it into the mode of blowing out the main vents at full speed.

I know in 2013+ trucks, the brain is to the right of the lower glove box, but I'm not sure what the setup is for 2009.

Thanks for the reply!!! Hmn so, if that is the case that would mean its not mounted on the airbox itself at all which seems odd. I have seen the 4 part video on the guy taking the airbox out of an 09 and boy is that a big job!! no wonder it cost so much!! but even in the diagram thats on this forum and floating around It doesnt show that at all. just the motors mounted on the box,and the fan of course, and the plug to the controls on the dash.

Anyone else? This is a bummer for sure
