just had my first oil change @ 6700 miles. Full synthetic. What is the recommended mileage for scheduled oil changes?

I think a lot of people run it about 5000. I've read some people run it longer but I'm just not very comfortable doing that-----

I have settled on 5,000 miles as my goal for oil changes and maintenance. I have heard over the years from more than few sources that regular oil changes are one of the best ways to keep your engine in good health. I consider it cheap insurance.
