like the title says, regret not getting that truck, instead, I opted for the 3.6l 4x2 mostly because of the fuel economy, 470+ miles to the tank- Idiot, this one is.

OH man, you've got a really nice brand new truck with plenty of power unless you plan to do a lot of towing. I love the V6 gas mileage, Kingman to Albany NY 5000 mile round trip, 3 trips in 2 months avg 26 mpg a trip. You know nothing's close together in AZ once you leave your city lol.

ENJOY IT !!!

I have been one of those guys that if I don't like what I am driving I get rid of it as soon as possible and go get what I want. When I was in my mid 20's I bought my first Cummins powered truck. It was a 2005 Ram 2500 SLT Quad Cab Mineral Grey 5.9/NV5600 6-speed/4.10 geared 2WD truck. I wanted a 4x4 but I couldn't pass up the deal. The truck sat on my dealers lot for 377 days with a sticker price of $40,191. With me being an employee I financed $24,624 and walked out with a $396 monthly payment on my first Cummins truck. Every day I drive that truck I wanted a 4x4 even more so after 40 days of ownership I traded that b*tch back in for another new truck and ever since then if I don't like it I get rid of it.

I feel your pain. My suggestion would be to get out of the truck now and get what you want before you lose too much of your trucks residual value.

Trade it in the same place you purchased it from immediately. Even if it’s a year or 4 used, the Hemi 4x4 will be better for resale than any 2wd v6 half ton. $30k+ of your hard earned money should have everything you ever wanted.

apologies for the rein in on the pity party

Not understanding this statement, at all. I have a Hemi, have always had big V-8 in my triucks but would not be averse to a V-6. even a straight 6 FOrd. Matter of what tool do I need for the job.

V6 isn't a deal breaker but 4x2 is.

I'd trade it in!
Exactly what I was going to say..... V6 isn't the issue, 2wd is...
I hardly concider 2wd a truck... It could have a 1.4L 4 banger and still be a truck if it were 4x4. Lol

Would never even consider a 4x2 truck, even though my truck gets stored in the winter, and love the Hemi!

LOL - the Canadian guys are all over it being a 4x2. Not really sure how advantageous a 4x4 is in Tuscon, which averages 0 inches of snow a year.
Not from Canada here.
4x4 can tow more weight and go anywhere your 4x2 would dare to enter in snow, mud, dirt or sand. Just because some don't need 4x4 doesn't mean 4x4s don't have the advantages :)

So just trade it in while you can if you dont like it lol also 4x2s dont really have much re sale no matter where you live just cut the price right in half if its a 4x2 :D. Hemis might not be good on gas or anything but they are fun as hell to drive:driver: I had a 3rd gen dodge rlly nice truck no rot ect was perf made the mistake of buying 2wd i sold it a month after i got it got tired of getting stuck and lost lil money.

I love my 2wd. Never had a need for 4wd even during the 60 years I lived in CT.
I like the ride and handling of a 2 wd.
Different strokes.

Yea I had two 2wd trucks here in Ohio and never had an issue and I got full trade in value when I traded them, people snatch them up as they are cheaper to own and operate. That said my last two trucks have been 4wd.

Not to split hairs, but actually a 4x2 has a greater towing capacity than an equally equipped 4x4 and will get better mileage.

With no snow and virtually no rain in sunny Az, and with everything miles away from each other, I just can't see not being a 4x4 as the reason to take the financial hit in getting rid of a brand new truck.

You made me look so i stand corrected on the towing capacity :)
