My Warlock has the start button feature. After a remote start, I just double-tap the start button to shut down the engine.
With a keyed ignition, insert the key, moving it to the on position and then to off. This cancels the remote start.
My Tundra and other vehicles with remote start all behaved in the same fashion.

I believe you can cancel the remote start by hitting the remote start button twice.

^This or just hit the brake pedal & it will cancel.

How could I forget that method?
My former GF seemed to find immense amusement when I'd forget to insert and move the key to on before stomping on the brake on my previous ride.
Stepping on the brake has got to be the most simple solution to shut down the engine.

Former GFs and ex wifes could be a new interesting thread. But it's not the right forum. I am devorced 4 times.

Summary of my remote question: Don't stomp the break if the engine is already running after remote start if you want to drive. Otherways it will stop. Canceling remote from outside the truck - push two times remote button again.
Am I right?

You hit the remote on the fob 2 times to start the engine with remote start then once to shut it down/off . At least my 2017 express + does .

For decades they told us "foot on the brake before you start it" and now all of a sudden pressing the brake kills it?
That is what I call counterintuitive
