Remove bed tie down

Wondering how I remove the bed tie downs. Want to install a undercover swing box.

I see nothing in the instructions that says you have to do this.

I left mine on. Actually still use them to hold my cooler down, etc. A little hard to get to but definitely useable. Mine is a 2012 not a 2013.

Have you test fitted it and know they need to be removed? I've seen a ton of Rams with these boxes and none of them removed the tie downs.
