Hello, I've been meaning to ask this for a while... My '14 1500 RAM (that I recently purchased) came with a factory "Class IV" hitch according to the Build Sheet. The hitch structure is also the attachment for the bumper. The hitch looks a bit wimpy to me based on other hitches I have had on my tow vehicles. Is there any manufacturer who makes a replacement receiver that has the bumper attachment points?

You'll probably break something on the truck by trying to tow too much before you break the hitch.

Well, I hope I don't do that... Thank you, appreciate the comment. I'm probably just being overly pessimistic.

If yours is like mine, it's tied into the frame and you'll have bigger issues if you destroy it while trying to tow something..... hahaha!!!

I always thought it looked wimpy too, but I work mine pretty hard, and it's performed admirably. My trailer has around 800 lbs of tongue weight and I've got an extended shank on it, which allows me to open the tailgate while hooked up.
