I have a 2015 1500 Big Horn 4x4 crew cab with 6'4" bed. The bumpers are chrome as are the side rails. I'd love to go black on all of those but don't have the cash. So, I just want to replace my newly dented rear bumper with a quality one. I am curious if there are any good quality options other than OEM. I have dual exhaust and do not have the park assist sensors (no holes in the face of the bumper). I see listings online where the manufacturer is "Various Manufacturers". I see listings on Amazon from random letter salad companies. I don't want to buy cheap crap that will rust. I had a relatively cheap after market chrome bumper on my previous truck and it was terrible. The only bumpers I see from known companies are black.

Buying auto parts from Jeff Bezos is just about a guarantee to get some Chinesium piece of trash.

My first shot would be to check with local junk yards and pick-and-pull places. It's relatively common to find trucks totalled with front end damage and the rear is totally fine.

Also have you checked with a body shop to see if the dents can be removed?

Bullet Proof Bumpers Red Deer Alberta. They ship to the states and the exchange means you save 45% off posted price. Their bumpers are REALLY hard to dent. You can even use a farmer jack on them without bending them. Those D ring attachment points aren't just for decoration.

I totally agree regarding Amazon.

I did check the inventory of the two nearby junkyards via their websites. They did not have anything. I used a junkyard search that found some but they were in bordering states with no shipping option.

I have not checked with the body shop. But, it is folded up pretty good. It made a raised spot in the center of the bend that is keeping me from opening the tailgate. Also, I always thought that bent chrome would cause cracks in the chrome that would start rusting. But, maybe it is worth contacting them.

Thanks. I'll definitely take a look!

That sounds like more than just a dent. Likely more than a PDR guy could handle. However, most shops around here do free estimates... may not hurt to at least have a local shop look at it.

Check your local marketplace/craigslist etc, quite often you'll find somebody parting out a truck with a good rear bumper.

I was just checking out my local marketplace last night, and there's probably at least a 1/2 dozen part outs with a good rear bumper that are with-in a 50 mile radius

I just helped a high school kid replace his rusted bumper on his Tundra, he bought one off Ebay, it was really flimsy, weighed less than the completely rusted OEM bumper we took off. I am sure it would off almost no help in an accident. Used OEM is the way to go.
