For the license plate bulbs just reach underneath the bumper and twist out the bulb connector. It'll take like 15 seconds

I replaced the license tag bulbs with leds yesterday. I bought a box of them to replace the flickering led light in the overhead console. The tag light out warning comes on every time I start the truck now. I put the old bulbs back in. I don't need to advertise my tag any more than is required by law. I even bought some red led bulbs for the overhead console but those are not bright enough.

Yes, LED don't drew enough voltage. You have to add some in line devise to get rid of the warning if you go with LEDs.

For the license plate bulbs(and other similar small bulbs) buy LEDs that are sold as CANbus error free. For the tail lights(turn/stop) you usually have to add resistors. The reverse lights you can get in error free versions.

Yes,Canbus can solve your flickering problem. You can ask the LED light seller sent you one or buy one. I met the same issue before, and it is easy to slove.
